A Talk on the Health Benefits of Taiji, Summer 2019

In the summer of 2019 Chris Jones was invited to speak at the AGM of the Kensington & Chelsea Forum for Older Residents. At that time she taught a very popular weekly Taiji class in Notting Hill with the Forum, a class she still teaches. Her talk was about the benefits of Taiji practice for health. The same summer, she and Shifu Liu opened the AGM of Healthwatch Central West London at Kensington Town Hall.

Before the Forum AGM, Chris asked her friends in the Taiji class for some feedback on their experiences, so that she could read it out on the day. Their responses were wonderful. Here is one example:

“I love the tai chi classes, they give me energy & a sense of well being. I think it is useful that you encourage us to do exercises at home, in fact you give us many tips. Your patience is amazing, some of the seniors do not listen!” — Sarah
