Chinese New Year Demonstrations in Canonbury

Tai Ji Circle made a great start to the Chinese New Year of 2020. Islington Council invited the school to perform Chen Taiji on 25 January at a celebration near Canonbury station. The Taiji demonstrations took place alongside the Islington Chinese Association's charming performances of the traditional Lion Dance.

The event was held in a new outdoor space near the station, where families could come and watch and then join in at the end. After several hours out in the cold, everyone ended up sharing a delicious Chinese meal at the Yipin China. It was wonderful that students and friends came from far and wide across London to perform, and the school was very grateful for their support.
